I met Omar at the Hütteldorf bowlriders contest last year.
After seeing him doing his first run during the jam, I instantly understood the chico can fly no problem on any kind of transition, quickly going back and forth like those Legends of Valhalla pinballs.
He seems the type of guy that studies the best trajectory he could do to get max speed, and squeeze in as many tricks as possible for the contest.
You gotta play loads of Gran Turismo to be on point like this.. Can’t be just skating.
Anyway, here is the video of the contest in Vienna.

Omar has recently got back on skating again due a knee surgery and also just released a part for Place (German skate mag), so an appreciation post and couple of question answered on Ginoslife.com is the least we can do to show support to this beautiful soul and stoke him up on keep rolling!
Edit by Mark Nickels, filmed by many friends
G: Yo Omar!! I saw the part.. so sick!! did you get an interview already? Was thinking to make an appreciation post to you! maybe with couple of question I wanted to ask you for my blog!!
Let me know what u think, if I remember right u got hurt this year.. right?
O: Yeaaaa Gino! 😀 thanks, I’m stoked that u liked it.
We can do an interview for sure and the pic is cool too!
I tore my meniscus and partially my ACL in the beginning of March (2023), which is my heaviest injury yet.
I’m really glad that I have the backing of the German team as they’ve helped me out getting back on my feet.
I got physiotherapy and rehab at the gym from them and I’m so thankful for that.
Now I’m at 6 months after surgery and I’m back on skating, although I’m still not quite at my level yet.
Gotta trust the process and I’ll be there soon.

G: First question!
Where you grew up skating, how old are you and what’s your sponsors.
O: I grew up skating in Berlin, I’m 22 and I skate for Etnies, Barrio Skateshop, 24/7dist and through them Creature, Indy and Bones.
G: Are you still living in Berlin? I forgot where were u from originally. Austria?
O: So I was born in Israel and moved to Berlin with my parents as a kid. Started skating here.
G: What u been up to, lately?
O: In the last months I’ve been working out getting fit and starting to skate again, which is really fun. I’ve also been working as a skate coach for some talented kids here in Berlin and that’s been going well.
G: Any plans or wishes you have for the next year that you want to happen?
O: Yea! Next year I want to focus on filming much more, as it looks I won’t be competing in the Olympic qualifiers to come, I can then really focus on my creative side and hit the streets and DIYs.
So yea, I’m really keen on starting to film a new project!
G: If you could to pickup to choose a place to skate, which one would be? A place you’ve never been before.
O: I’m thinking Basque Country would be sick to skate. I’ve also been craving Bali for a while now, might actually fly there in winter.
G: Favourite food spot?
O: In Berlin I really like Felix Austria, they got the best Wiener schnitzel. That place is so bomb.

G: Pizza pasta kebab or sushi? pick one.
O: I’d probably go kebab cause it’s the easiest option and gets u full for cheap! Haha.
