Italian Classics: A muso duro

Pierangelo Bertoli – A muso duro (Live 1986)

I listened to this song recently on Radio Amore Nostalgia, and found this live version on youtube really worth sharing.
I translated the introduction for you curious international viewers, he tells a short story on how he wrote this song..
An example that everyone should apply in its life!

“There’ve been songs I always preferred playing as introduction or as finale during the many concerts I’ve done, I’d like to tell an interesting fact about this particular song.
Many years ago, probably around December 1978, there was a man that worked at the record label I was in, who once said to me that my language was obsolete and that I should change my approach to writing songs.
I am one of those people that thinks a lot at these kind of stuff.. I thought about it for a couple of days.
I got told the same thing again when I phoned the record label, so I felt it was a critical moment in my career.
One night I was in bed, my wife was sleeping, I wasn’t. I picked up a pen and a piece of paper, and started writing. I wanted to write what I was feeling to write, you know..
So I wrote this song that night and brought it to the record label in Milan a couple of days after for a demo. It was appreciated, also that man I talked about earlier listened to the song, and I like to remember that he fired himself for that.”
